Luano City Shines at BTP & CMA Lunch Debate Club
Luano City was honored to take part in the Lunch Debate Club organized by BTP & CMA at the esteemed Pullman Grand Karavia in Lubumbashi. The session, chaired by Jean Bamanisa, President of the BTP Club & CMA, brought together key stakeholders — including developers, engineers, real estate professionals, urban planners, and policymakers — for an insightful discussion on the pressing challenges of urbanization in Lubumbashi.
The event came at a critical time, as the city undergoes rapid expansion. Participants raised important concerns about the increasing signs of unregulated development, weak enforcement of building codes, and the diminishing application of urban planning standards. Several speakers reflected on a time when planning regulations were not only in place but strictly observed — in contrast to today’s fragmented urban growth.
Luano City remains committed to supporting structured and sustainable urban development, contributing to a future where growth is both strategic and inclusive.
